It is because of your generosity that the YWCA can provide the programs and services that so many in our community need. Whether it is early childhood education, supportive housing, child abuse prevention, leadership programs for young women, or financial literacy, the YWCA is here to provide hope and help.
Thanks to you and others who care about the mission and values of the YWCA, the YWCA is making a big difference in our community:

185 young women take part in activities that foster leadership development during the 2009 YWLC Summer Institute and 2009-2010 school year program;

400 women benefit from economic empowerment at the annual Money Conference for Women;

more than 130 homeless women in need of temporary shelter and supportive services become more self-sufficient and lead stable lives; and
-
up to 70 children and their caregivers receive therapeutic and social services that help maintain stable homes and prevent abuse and neglect.

Free tax preperation to over 125 individuals through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance initiative

Over 100 public and private organizations participate in the annual Stand Against Racism, movement initiated by the YWCA in 2008 to raise awareness that racism still exists in our communities and that it cannot be ignored or tolerated.
